Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation (ISD)

Offered through Ingham ISD in partnership with Baker College

Students who complete the requirements of this program through year 13 have the opportunity to receive up to 60 college credits from Baker College and an Associate Degree.

Program Description

Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation I & II classes at the Wilson Talent Center provide an opportunity for students interested in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy to capitalize on their interests and prepare to make a difference in the lives of others.  Students will actively participate in "Hands-on" and Problem-Based Learning activities within the state-of-the-art Training Room/Therapy Clinic and exercise lab with a strong application of sports-related content.  At the conclusion of their senior year students have the option to earn certifications in Personal Training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and Physical Therapy Technician/Aide from the American Certification Association (AMCA).  Students may also choose to earn direct college credits through a partnership with Central Michigan University's Athletic Training program and other college affiliations.
